This week 5FF is all about our inner fashionista. Who wouldn’t want to participate in this fun post? What about these fashionistas do we love? It’s easy to get caught up in the clothing of a character on a series, as they have people to pick out their wardrobe. Caitlin and I aren’t really about being dressed to the nines, so most of our picks are pretty down-to-earth.
Charlie Bradbury – Charlie represents us to the core. She’s an unapologetic nerd and we love her for it. I swear, if I could raid her T-Shirt drawer alone, I definitely would. Whether she is dressing for some cosplay or just hanging out, she’s got the best wardrobe for fun.
Jess Day – Jess is the girl I want to be. Her clothing is cute, flirty, and sweet – without seeming vulgar. I love that she pairs tights with shorts. Her color palette is amazing. The eyeglasses are the perfect accessory for a girlie-girl who doesn’t take herself too seriously.
Sherlock Holmes– Sherlock represents a man at his best, clothing-wise. He chooses classic cuts. Everything is tailored to perfection. I would steal that pea coat and scarf for myself any chance I could. The simply British, well-bred, classic look is timeless.
Luna Lovegood – Luna follows the beat of her own drum. She wears what she wants and cares nothing of your opinion. We meet Luna at around age 14. For a girl to be as confident as she is in her own skin was something I appreciated. From her crazy earrings, to the Gryffindor lion hat, Luna has fun in expressing herself whenever she can.
Barney Stinson – It’s nice to be reminded that there are still men in America who love to wear suits. Barney isn’t humble, though. He wastes nothing (including money) to look good. To Barney, no suit = no girl. There would be the tragedy in his life. He constantly “suits up” for every occasion.
